I’m Grateful That Someone Helped to Pull Me out of Depression

I found myself in a really big slump. Then, once I realized it, I felt that I could not get myself out of it. Then, my girlfriend invited me to come to her gym with a coupon she had that offered some free personal training Reading help. I tried to get out of it, but she pointed out that working out is the one thing that helped her when she found herself in a long-term slump. She asked that I just go with her once, and if I didn’t like it, she would not ask me to do it again.

The way the day that changed my life. Her personal trainer gave me small goals to reach during that hour of free training that my girlfriend treated me to. I was really winded at first, but the trainer pointed out that was a clear sign that I was not as fit as I should be for my age. I needed to do something about it because I had been struggling with my weight for awhile.

I have to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to my office each day, Each morning, I huffed and puffed while slowly climbing the stairs. It took me about 5 minutes, but it takes everyone else about one and half minutes. It was really embarrassing. I knew the signs of being out of shape were there, but I had been ignoring it.

I have to say that I’m really glad that my girlfriend helped me. She knew that I was trying to get out of doing something that would be good for me, and she nudged me just enough to give it a try. Now, I can go up each flight of stairs at work each morning at a really quick pace. I’m no longer out of breath each morning. I also feel happy and energetic once again. The depression has lifted, and I’m more interested in what life has to offer.
